Team of the project got acquainted with facilities of Braganca Polytechnic Institute

The main goals of the meeting:

29 October (Monday)

  1. To approve Conception of Joint Degree study programme (added value of Joint degree study programme, competences, modules and study plan) (presented by Inga Juknyte-Petreikiene).
  2. To discuss approve mobility scheme (presented by Rasa Useliene).
  3. To approve methodical guidelines and distribute modules for their arrangement (presented by Inga Juknyte-Petreikiene).

30 October (Tuesday)

  1. To discuss and approve Admission Regulation (presented by Romanian partner).
  2. To discuss and approve Study Regulation (presented by Polish partner).
  3. To discuss and approve Requirements for Practice (presented by Latvian partner).
  4. To discuss and approve Requirements for Final Paper (presented by Portuguese partner).
  5. To discuss and approve issues related to piloting period (moderated by Rasa Useliene).
  • Confirmation on the date of piloting period.
  • Regulation on admission to pilot group.
  • List of pilot modules.
  • Mobility scheme for teachers (distribution of modules for partner countries).
  • Discussion on testing of pilot group (questionnaires for students, teachers and administrators).

31 October (Wednesday)

  1. To confirm the meeting date in Romania.
  2. To approve issues of the piloting.
  3. To clarify problems related to financial accountability.
  4. To update dissemination activities.
  5. To define tasks for intermeeting period.
The goals defined for the meeting were achieved after serious discussions and negotiations. Common decisions were confirmed. That is: Conception of the programme documents regulating implementations of the studies (Requirements for Final Paper, Admission, Practice, Study Regulation) (see ). Issues related to mobility of studies were left at the discussions stage.

Pilot period was decided to carry out on 18 February -18 April 2008 in Vilnius Branch of the College of Social Sciences, Lithuania. 36 students (6 students-candidates) and 6 lectures were decided to select for pilot period. Pilot modules have been selected:

  1. Entrepreneurship (3 ECTS),
  2. European Studies (political, economic and social systems in Europe and EU) (3 ECTS),
  3. Cross-Cultural Negotiation Techniques (3 ECTS),
  4. Applied Research for International Business and Management (3 ECTS),
  5. Management of International Projects (3 ECTS),
  6. Managing Innovations and Technology Transfer in Multinational Enterprises (3 ECTS).
Moreover, timetable of the modules was decided.

For selection of the students, advertising and selection techniques were discussed. It was decided to design:
  • common advertisement,
  • selection criteria
  • English language test.
  • Questionnaires for students, lecturers and managers to evaluate and improve the quality of curricula and organization of the studies

The main selection criteria are as follows:

Study programme (Management, Business Administration or Economics)

  1. English language skills (English language test)
  2. Previous study results (average grade of the last study semester not lower than C in ECTS)
  3. Study year (not lower than 2nd year student)
Participants of the meeting clarified questions related to financial documents of the project and reporting of the activities. Information about dissemination activities was shared between the partners.

Next project meeting was decided to arrange on 6-7 May 2008 at the University of Pitesti, Romania. Plan of tasks for intermeeting period was confirmed.
