Pilot studies of Joint degree in International Business Management study programme, developed within the framework of Erasmus CD Project, No 219410 - IC - 1 - 2005 -1 – LT-ERASMUS-PROGUC-1, will be carried out in Vilnius branch of the College of Social Sciences since 19th February to 18th April 2008. Joint group of 29 students from University of Pitesti (Romania), Braganca Polytechnic Institute (Portugal), Rezekne Higher Education Institution (Latvia) and College of Social Sciences is participating in the pilot period studies. 6 pilot modules of Joint dgeree study programme have been arranged by the lecturers from Lodz College of Computer Science, College of Social Sciences, Braganca Polytechnic Institute, University of Pitesti and Rezekne Higher Education Institution and will be lectured during the pilot period.
College of Social Sciences and its international activity was presented to the joint group of the students at the beginning of pilot period; students from Adnan Menderes University (Turkey) gave their presentations to the international group of students. Goals of the pilot programme, timetable of lectures and foreseen cultural programme was introduced to the students. Cultural programme in Vilnius, trip to Klaipeda and Nida and meeting with representatives of media is going to be organized for joint group of students and lecturers. Moreover, press conference in Vilnius is going to be carried out during pilot period (on 20th March). Detailed information about Joint degree study programme in International Business Management and its pilot period being implemented meantime will be provided in it.
At the end of pilot period students, lecturers and coordinators will evaluate quality of implemented studies and organizational aspects related to them. Developed Joint degree study programme will be reviewed according to the conclusions of this evaluation.
Students of pilot group will be awarded with Europass and institutional certificates acknowledging their international educational mobility.
Foreign students have already contacted their coordinators in home institutions and expressed their joy and satisfaction to be able to participate in international studies related to development of Joint degree study programme. It is high recognition and at the same time great international challenge to the institution – the College of Social Sciences - implementing the pilot study period.
